Oasis is a Key Partner During Mergers and Acquisitions

Often, our PEO clients choose to expand their business by means of mergers and acquisitions. An acquisition can be a challenging time for a company, particularly when it comes to the HR intricacies of adding a substantial number of new employees, virtually overnight. The Challenge

A large Oasis client was pursing a growth strategy in its market. This growth was achieved as the result of large mergers and acquisitions. One such acquisition for this client involved 1,500 employees based in offices at their homes and spread out across the country. Adding to the challenge, all 1,500 employees needed to be onboarded within ten days. At all times throughout the process, it was crucial that sensitive employee data and information be protected while the confidentiality of the pending acquisition was maintained. In addition to protecting the confidentiality of the merger, it was a top priority for both the client and Oasis to keep the most valuable asset in the transaction—the new employees—happy and well-taken care of.

The Solution

In order to facilitate this ‘mass hiring,’ the client needed a partner to manage the complicated onboarding process within a tight timeframe. Oasis provided a two-pronged solution. In order to streamline the documentation process, Electronic Onboarding was utilized as the mechanism to enter employees into the system. However, with such a large number of new employees to deliver letters and documentation to, Oasis created a team of nine Hiring Specialists who worked with the client to process employee notifications and paperwork.

The Results

By relieving our client from the overwhelming administrative tasks associated with onboarding 1,500 new employees in less than ten days, the client was able to focus on making the acquisition a smooth transition and mutually beneficial for all parties. The client is continuing to grow through mergers and acquisitions, and Oasis will continue to be there every step of the way, providing innovative workforce solutions and allowing the client the freedom to focus on its core business.
