We’ve been talking about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or Healthcare Reform for years now. We know that the basic law has been enacted. Yet regulation continues to evolve. Our Supreme Court continues to interpret the law. Political elections, led by our Presidential election in 2016, will certainly impact the law. How will it ultimately look? And most importantly, how will all this impact our businesses?

As the law currently stands, many of the provisions are now in place, with some having been recently enacted and with some still to come, such as:

  • Variable hour employee tracking to comply with the Employer Mandate
  • IRS 6055 and 6056 reporting requirements
  • Excise tax on Cadillac plans

While the provisions and the timelines of the ACA have changed over time, what hasn’t changed is the complexity of the legislation.
