In a Survey conducted by Paychex in late 2020, one in four employees report that their mental health has deteriorated since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Symptoms include an increase in depression and anxiety, low energy, insomnia, and lack of motivation.
Mental health issues cost U.S. business billions of dollars a year in lost productivity, absenteeism, and poor performance. They can affect employee engagement, recruitment, and retention.
